11 Types of People Who Would Thrive at a Coworking Space

When it comes to coworking spaces, people typically see us as a place for satellite teams, startups, and freelancers.

And while that’s definitely true, we can also benefit professionals under so many other circumstances as well.

So, I thought I’d talk about all the different types of people we see working–and thriving–here at The Post in a flexible workspace environment.

1. New Entrepreneurs

If you’re a new entrepreneur, there’s almost nowhere better for you to be than in a coworking space. It’s inspiring, you’re surrounded by like-minded people, immersed in a professional community–and it’s cost-effective.

2. People Who Have Just Moved to Tucson

If you’ve just relocated to Tucson–or to any city–heading to a coworking space is a great place to meet people. It’s not just work. There’s a great social aspect to it as well. For instance, we host a ton of member events geared at helping people get to know each other. A lot of our members even get together outside of work hours.

3. Professionals of All Types Who Are Sick of Working From Home

The pandemic meant a lot of us had to work from home. And there are a ton of people who have been clawing at the walls to get out of their home office. Even if you just need a change of scenery a day or two per week, a coworking membership is a great flexible option to let you escape your home workspace.

4. Anyone Feeling Lonely Working Solo

Whether you’re part of a satellite team or you’re an entrepreneur, loneliness can creep up on us all. Getting out among other people is easy at a coworking space, even if you’re dialed into work while you’re there.

5. Those Who Just Want a Defined Work Schedule

Sometimes you just want to create some definition in your schedule. This could even mean just having a commute in your day to create physical and mental separation between work time and downtime, or having a place where you can have set work hours.

6. Professionals on a Modest Budget

If you don’t want to spend a fortune, coworking spaces are perfect for you. They can offer you everything you’re looking for–including all of the amenities, tools, and resources you need–at a fraction of the cost of a traditional office space.

7. People Who Don’t Work Office Jobs

Believe it or not, we have a ton of people working at The Post who don’t work office jobs. For example, we’ve got a project manager in the construction industry who spends the majority of their time on site, but comes into our space to do their administrative tasks. Just because you don’t work an office job doesn’t mean you can’t benefit from an office space.

8. Anybody Who Only Wants an Office Occasionally

A lot of people like working from home (or a coffee shop or wherever!), but they need a place to escape to every now and then. With a flexible office space, you can get a part-time private office space when you need it but not be on the hook for footing an entire month’s bill for it.

9. On-the-Go Pros

We have a lot of members who are constantly on the move–whether around the city or across the country–but need a local HQ for their business. Many of them use dedicated desks or private office space as a central hub so they can have a home base, even though they’re on the go a lot. There are a lot of real estate agents or traveling salespeople who benefit from this.

10. People Who Don’t Need an Office, Only an Address

A ton of professionals don’t even need an office at all. They just need a respectable business address and some administrative support. So, we have virtual office members who literally never set foot in the office–some don’t even live in the city–but rely on us to answer and direct their calls and to have a local address where things can get shipped to.

11. Pros Who Need to Host Meetings or Events

A lot of people don’t need an office for their day-to-day work but don’t want to host client or customer meetings at their house or a coffee shop. They simply book a meeting room or event space, drop in, take advantage of our professional atmosphere and fully-appointed cafe and top-tier AV, host their meetings, and take off.

The truth is that coworking is a much more dynamic and versatile way of working than it gets credit for. So, if you fit any of these categories of people, come stop by and see if we might be a fit for you. You might be surprised just how much it can do for your professional–and personal!–lives.
