SCORE Southern Arizona

For entrepreneurs and small business owners, having a mentor is incredibly valuable. And SCORE Southern Arizona focuses on connecting you with mentors who are experienced entrepreneurs, corporate managers, and executives with expertise in a diverse range of industries and specialties. 

Their goal is to help professionals to start, develop, and grow businesses by offering free advice, low-cost or no-cost business training, and numerous templates and tools. 

Arizona Center for Innovation

The Arizona Center for Innovation is a University of Arizona-affiliated incubator that supports companies involved in technology or science-related endeavors. They offer traditional facilities and mentoring assistance, as well as access to a network of partnered local businesses offering legal, marketing, and insurance services among others. AzCI features office space and conference rooms, and wet/dry laboratory space. Created in 2003, AzCI already boasts a strong record of success, having launched over 100 companies so far.

Pima County College Small Business Development Center

The Pima County Small Business Development Center offers free confidential business mentoring to anyone who needs it. In order to be considered for mentorship, you might need to attend a class or workshop and present your business plan. This is perfect for businesses in the idea, planning, startup, or growth phases.

Women’s Business Center of Southern Arizona

The goal of the Women’s Business Center of Southern Arizona is to assist women in starting small businesses. Some of these centers are combined with other local organizations and use that relationship to offer even more services. Each Women’s Business Center has counselors who can provide mentorship and assistance with business planning. Women’s Business Centers also provide a network of other businesses, and some have loan programs available

Invest Southwest Improving Investability Workshop

For businesses that are ready to take on investment, Invest Southwest offers workshops, lunch-and-learns, and cocktail events that help entrepreneurs connect with mentors, investors, and more, all while sharpening their skills.

Startup Tucson

Startup Tucson is a community-oriented nonprofit, committed to supporting the dreamers, builders, and makers that fuel the future of our vibrant city.

The organization imagines a Tucson that is known to entrepreneurs and startups nationwide as an ideal place to start and grow a business. It works to transform the region’s economy through entrepreneurship and innovation while elevating entrepreneurs to create innovations that build a more equitable, vibrant, and forward-looking economy.

Since it was founded in 2012, Startup Tucson has continued to serve as an advocate, educator, and connector for entrepreneurs.

The Post Workspaces recently partnered with Startup Tucson to support its Remote Tucson initiative which was created as a way to invite national talent to consider Tucson as the ideal place to work remotely.
