1. Tucson Comedy Arts Festival
Date and Time: Thursday, November 12, through Saturday, November 14, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

What’s going on: If you’re looking for some high-energy fun and a lot of laughs, you’ll love the Tucson Comedy Arts Festival. Hosted by Tucson Improv Movement, the festival features three nights of improv, stand-up, and sketch comedy. Best of all? You can watch it all from the comfort of your own home. Just register on the Tucson Comedy Arts Festival Facebook page and tune in live.
2. Loft Short Film Fest 2020
Date and Time: November 18 through November 22 (check the website for times and tickets)
Location: The Loft Cinema, 3233 E. Speedway Blvd. (and online)
Cost: From $12 to $50 (check online for specifics)
What’s going on: Taking place both in-theater and online, the first-ever Loft Short Film Fest is your chance to see the best new short films from the world’s most respected festivals, including Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, Venice, and Toronto. It will include a curated selection of acclaimed, award-winning short films from across the globe in programs ranging from Live Action to Documentary, Animation, and Late-Night.
3. Outdoor Jazz Concert Series
Date and Time: Thursday, November 19, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Location: Westward Look Bar and Grille, 245 E. Ina Road
Cost: $10 plus food and beverage costs (ages 21 and up)
What’s going on: Get out and enjoy an evening of jazz music performed by Sheryl Ann Starlight. Enjoy some food and a few beverages and take in a high-energy performance from this group of talented musicians!
4. Fall Ikebana Festival
Date and Time: November 19 to 29, daily from 9:30 a.m. til 4:30 p.m.
Location: Yume Japanese Gardens of Tucson, 2130 N. Alvernon Way
Cost: From $5 to $16
What’s going on: If you’re up for a unique and spectacular activity, you’ll love the Fall Ikebana Festival at Yume Japanese Gardens of Tucson, a courtyard-style garden covering two-thirds of an acre. Featuring traditional Japanese folk artifacts and flowers, you can enjoy dozens of signature floral compositions highlighting the wide breadth of flower arrangement styles in Japan’s most distinctive art form.
5. Boss Women Unite Fall Pop-Up
Date and Time: Saturday, November 21, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Location: 1130 E. Pennsylvania
Cost: Free to attend
What’s going on: This pop-up shop is going to be one-of-a-kind! Featuring local Tucson-based vendors as well as vendors from around Arizona, the Boss Women Unite Fall Pop-Up is a great opportunity to shop local and support small businesses, all while enjoying some great food, music, and fun for the whole community.
6. The Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Drive-Thru Market
Date and Time: Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Location: Mercado San Agustin, 165 S. Linda Ave.
Cost: Free to attend but bring cash for drive-thru shopping
What’s going on: Stock up on incredible fresh fruits, vegetables, and other locally-made foods, all from the comfort of your own vehicle, at the Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Drive-Thru Market. Each week you’ll find a new assortment of delicious seasonal local goods to enjoy.
7. Community Food Bank Distribution
Date and Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays all month from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Location: Kino Sports Complex, 2500 E. Ajo Way
Cost: Free
What’s going on: This year has been challenging for many people, to say the least. And if you’re looking for a way to give back with the holiday season right around the corner, this is a great opportunity to do so. Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona is hosting a drive-thru food distribution for those in need.
8. New Foothills Sunday Market
Date and Time: Every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Location: Foothills Mall, 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd.
Cost: Free admission but bring cash for food
What’s going on: Work up an appetite if you plan to head to the New Foothills Sunday Market! Here you’ll find incredible fresh produce, premium hot dogs, sausages, lobster rolls, and baked goods as well as wares from a variety of Tucson artists.
