March is here and it’s serving up 11 exciting events that will make you want to get in on the action. Whether you’re looking for business events, awesome entertainment, or outdoor fun, we’ve got you covered.
Mark your calendars and head down to any of these local community events. It’s a great way to have fun and support local sports groups, authors, artists, and businesses just by showing up.
1. Pets of Pima Parade & Friends of PACC Festival
Date and Time: March 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Location: 6th Avenue, South from Speedway to 7th Street, 7th Street, between 6th Avenue and 3rd Avenue Tucson, AZ
Cost: Participants are asked to raise $50 or more, with all funds supporting animal lifesaving programs at PACC, the largest and only open-admission shelter in Pima County.
What’s going on: Tucson’s companion animals will take to the streets for the 4th annual Tucson Subaru Pets of Pima Parade and Friends of PACC Festival. Join hundreds of animals of all sizes and shapes, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, pocket pets, and farm pets. The parade will include bands, floats, entertainers, costumed characters, and cool vehicles. The event raises awareness and financial support for animal lifesaving programs at Pima Animal Care Center.
2. Cologuard Golf Classic
Date and Time: March 2nd – 9th
Location: La Paloma Country Club, 3660 E Sunrise Dr, Tucson, AZ
Cost: $30+. Saturday general admission tickets are free with a food bank donation.
What’s going on: This PGA TOUR Champions tournament returns to Tucson for the 63rd year, hosted at the Jack Nicklaus signature-designed course at La Paloma Country Club. 78 players compete for a six-figure top prize over the three-day event. Proceeds of the event will support colon cancer awareness and Tucson youth sports.
3. Tour de Cookie
Date and Time: March 8th from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Location: Crossroads at Silverbell District Park, 7548 N Silverbell Rd, Tucson, AZ
Cost: $45 for adults. Children are free with an accompanying adult.
What’s going on: The 2025 Marana Tour de Cookie Bike Ride is an all-ages event combining cycling and tasty treats on a 31.5-mile journey. It sold out last year, so register soon to be one of the 500 riders. Sign up by February 21st to get a shirt. Get ready to have a blast!
4. Tucson Shamrock Half Marathon
Date and Time: March 9th, starting at 7:30 a.m.
Location: Brandi Fenton Memorial Park, 3482 E River Rd, Tucson, AZ
Cost: $35-$80
What’s going on: Sign up for this March tradition! The Tucson Shamrock Half Marathon, 10K, 5K is a great run to start the season with the option to go virtual and run from anywhere. Join hundreds of other runners on this local road race with moderate hills.
5. Tucson Japanese Festival
Date and Time: March 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Tucson Chinese Cultural Center, 1288 W River Road, Tucson, AZ
Cost: $5 for adults, free for kids five and under.
What’s going on: Hosted by the Southern Arizona Japanese Cultural Coalition, the Tucson Japanese Festival returns this spring with taiko drumming, martial arts, traditional folk dancing, mochi pounding, games and origami for children, anime, and delicious Japanese food on sale.
6. Tucson Festival of Books
Date and Time: March 15th & 16th, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Location: University of Arizona Mall, E University Blvd, Tucson, AZ
Cost: Free
What’s going on: This community-wide celebration of literature is one of the largest book festivals in the country. Festival events include indie authors, Latinx authors, kids’ books, literary awards, interactive science displays, and food vendors. Hear from your favorite authors, attend an author panel, or browse the festival merchandise.
7. Tucson Career Fair
Date and Time: March 19th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Location: Hilton Tucson East, 7600 East Broadway, Blvd., Tucson, AZ
Cost: Free for job seekers. $499 and up for companies.
What’s going on: Get ready to make a great first impression at the 2025 Tucson Career Fair. Jobseekers can connect with employers in a variety of careers: sales, customer service, engineering, healthcare, education, government, and the financial industry.
8. Fourth Avenue Spring Street Fair
Date and Time: March 21st – 23rd
Location: Historic 4th Avenue between E 8th St. and E University Blvd.
Cost: Free
What’s going on: One of the premier celebrations in the Southwest is now in its 56th year, with over 350,000 visitors. Visit with the whole family to see original, hand-made art by 350+ artists from around the world, along with live entertainment, buskers, 40+ food vendors, beer, and local 4th Avenue Merchants.
9. Monster Jam Monster Trucks
Date and Time: March 21st at 7:00 p.m., March 22nd at 1:00 p.m. and March 23rd at 7:00 p.m.
Location: Tucson Arena, 260 S Church Ave, Tucson, AZ
Cost: $25+
What’s going on: Experience Monster Jam® live and see the most popular trucks like Grave Digger®, El Toro Loco®, and Sparkle Smash. It’s fun for all ages with awesome trucks, amazing stunts, action-packed excitement, and big air. Get a front-row seat to the spectacle as 12,000lb trucks stand on two wheels and fly through the air, and score the drivers in real time based on their skills, stunts, and saves.
10. Silver Spike Jubilee
Date and Time: March 22nd from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Location: Southern Arizona Transportation Museum, 414 N. Toole Ave., Tucson, AZ
Cost: Free
What’s going on: The Southern Arizona Transportation Museum presents the 145th Anniversary of the arrival of the railroad into Tucson. The event will honor the Railroader of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. It also includes a performance by the Fourth Cavalry Band and the dedication of a new mural.
11. Arrival from Sweden: The Music of ABBA
Date and Time: March 22nd at 7:30 p.m. and March 23rd at 2:00 p.m.
Location: Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, 260 S Church Ave, Tucson, AZ
Cost: $16+
What’s going on: Enjoy Arrival from Sweden: The Music of ABBA by the Tucson Symphony Orchestra. Immerse yourself in the phenomenon of the Swedish supergroup like never before as ARRIVAL from Sweden joins the TSO for an amazing tribute concert. Sing along with fan favorites like Dancing Queen, Waterloo, and Take a Chance on Me.
