From exciting festivals and family-friendly fun to local markets and outdoor adventures, April is packed with events that celebrate the season and the spirit of Southern Arizona. Whether you’re a longtime local or new to the area, we’ve rounded up 9 must-attend events in Tucson that you won’t want to miss.

1. Tucson Folk Festival
Date and Time: Friday, April 4th to Sunday, April 6th
Location: Jacome Plaza, Downtown Tucson, 101 N Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701
Cost: Free
What’s going on: The Tucson Folk Festival is a free and family-friendly celebration of Americana and folk music traditions—along with all their vibrant variations, including bluegrass, blues, country, jazz, Celtic, zydeco, and a variety of Latin and Mexican styles.
2. Baja Beer Festival
Date and Time: Saturday, April 5th – 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location: Armory Park, 222 S. 5th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701
Cost: $15 – $100
What’s going on: Spend an afternoon at Armory Park with some of the best beers from Tucson, all over Arizona, and beyond! Food trucks and games too!
3. Wine Gone Wild
Date and Time: Saturday, April 5th – 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Location: Reid Park Zoo, 300 E Zoo Court, Tucson, AZ 85716
Cost: $75 and Up Per Person
What’s going on: Enjoy tastings from regional wineries and distilleries while supporting animals at Reid Park Zoo. Admission to the event includes 10 tasting tickets, light food samplings and animal encounters.
4. Family Fun Fair
Date and Time: Saturday, April 5th – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Reid Park Zoo, 300 E Zoo Court, Tucson, AZ 85716
Cost: FREE
What’s going on: Join us for a free community event with a live DJ, entertainment, glitter tattoos, kite making, crafts, games and activities, a bicycle raffle, food, and TONS of resources for families!! We will be in the Festival Area of Reid Park, near the zoo entrance.
5. Spring Fling Market
Date and Time: Saturday, April 5th – 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Location: Casas Adobes Plaza, 71331 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85704.
Cost: Free to Attend
What’s going on: This free event includes 30 plus local market vendors, craft workshops, live music, fun and more!
6. Touch-a-Truck
Date and Time: Saturday, April 5th – 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Kino Sports Complex 2500 E Ajo Way. The parking lots located off of E. Ajo Way and Forgeus Ave. Please enter and exit the event utilizing the E. Ajo Way and Forgeus intersection.
Cost: Tickets are $5 prior to the event and $10 day-of.Free
What’s going on: Touch-A-Truck™ is a hands-on, family-friendly event where kids can explore, climb on, and touch vehicles of all shapes and sizes! From construction trucks to emergency response vehicles, there’s something to spark every imagination.
Meet the everyday heroes who build, protect, and serve Pima County, and get creative with fun activities for all ages.Feeling hungry? Grab a bite from one of the on-site food trucks offering lunch and snacks for purchase. It’s a day full of discovery, excitement, and fun for the whole family!
7. Pima County Fair
Date and Time: April 17th to April 27th

8. The Happy Hive Spring Market
Date and Time: Saturday, April 12th – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Omni Tucson National Resort & Spa, 2727 W Club Drive, Tucson, AZ 85742
Cost: Free; Bring Money for Shopping and Food Vendors
What’s going on: This will be a vibrant morning of live music, local shopping, delicious brunch bites, and more! This event is free to attend and open to the public, so bring your friends—and your wallet—to support your favorite local vendors or discover new ones you’ll love. 9. Tucson Earth Day 2025
Date and Time: April 19th, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Tucson Children’s Museum – all locations
