It’s officially spring and we’re excited about all the fun things to do this season. Whether you’re looking for ways to celebrate Easter, a new live music show, or a community festival, there’s something that you’re sure to love this month. 

Here are 12 awesome things to do in Tucson this April 2023. 

1. Sean Kenney’s Nature POP! Made with LEGO® Bricks

Date and Time: Ongoing until May 14, 2023

Location: Tucson Botanical Gardens, 2510 North Alvernon Way

Cost: Included in admission ($15.00)

What’s going on: Acclaimed artist Sean Kenney created over 40 sculptures from more than 800,000 LEGO® pieces. You can visit these colorful and striking pieces scattered throughout the Botanical Gardens. 

2. Foreigner: Greatest Hits Tour

Date and Time: April 3, 2023

Location: The Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, 260 S Church Ave.

Cost: Tickets start at $113.00

What’s going on: With massive hits like, “I Want to Know What Love Is,” 10 multi-platinum albums, and 16 Top 30 hits, Foreigner has long been one of the most popular rock acts in the world. Come rock out live with them in this greatest hits tour. 

3. The Wonderland Treasure Hunt Theatrical Adventure

Date and Time: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from April 7-30, 2023

Location: Valley of the Moon, 2544 E. Allen Road

Cost: $10.00

What’s going on: Come out for a live theater experience like no other. This adventure is interactive and outdoors, exploring the discovery of a mysterious riddle and secret treasure hiding somewhere nearby.  

4. Breakfast With The Bunny

Date and Time: April 8, 2023

Location: Trail Dust Town, 66541 East Tanque Verde Road

Cost: $35.00 for adults, $25.00 for children

What’s going on: There’s so much to look forward to this Easter. Start the morning with a breakfast buffet, take some pictures with the Easter Bunny, go out for an egg hunt, and finish the day off with a ferris wheel, train, and carousel.  

5. Fiesta Sahuarita

Date and Time: Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 2:00-8:00 p.m.

Location: Anamax Park, 17501 S. Camino de las Quintas

Cost: Free

What’s going on: Head to nearby Sahuarita for a big desert fiesta. There will be over 100 vendors and food trucks, live music, a kids water zone, and a drone show at night.  

6. Tucson Taste of Chocolate

Date and Time: April 16, 2023

Location: Doubletree Reid Park, 445 S. Alvernon Way

Cost: $15.00

What’s going on: At this chocolate competition, you’re the judge! Local chefs bring their greatest chocolatey creations for you to try and vote for your favorite. Bring out your whole family to the event; all proceeds support the Rincon Rotary Foundation’s project supporting teachers and businesses. 

7. Cyclovia Tucson

Date and Time: April 16, 2023 from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Location: Route from Lost Barrio to Himmel Park

Cost: Free

What’s going on: This Open Streets event is kind of like a super long block party. It’s not a race, but a space for people to reclaim streets from cars and walk, bike, roll, scoot, or otherwise move. There are food vendors along the route to fuel all Cyclovia participants, too! 

8. Drinking Local VIP Exhibit

Date and Time: Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. 

Location: Arizona History Museum, 949 E. 2nd Street 

Cost: $65.00 or $25.00 for a designated driver

What’s going on: Ready to find your next favorite wine, beer, or whiskey? You’ll enjoy some exclusive sips and bites, live entertainment, and entrance to the Arizona History Museum for this exciting event. 

9. 31st Annual Arizona International Film Festival

Date and Time: April 19-30, 2023

Location: Multiple locations including The Screening Room, Mercado Annex, Loft Cinema, UA Main Gate, Historic Hotel Congress, and more. 

Cost: All Access Festival Passes for $100.00 or Saver Passes for $30.00 (6 screenings)

What’s going on: The AIFF has been committed to showcasing independent films for over 30 years. This year there will be 29 features and 69 shorts from 18 countries, the most diverse lineup in its history.  

10. Pima County Fair

Date and Time: April 20-30, 2023

Location: Pima County Fair Grounds, 11300 S Houghton Road

Cost: $11.00 

What’s going on: Enjoy a classic day at the fair with circus shows, live animals, music, and lots of great eats and treats. Make sure you catch the various horse shows such as jumping, dressage, and barrel racing.  

11. Tucson Earth Day Festival

Location: Children’s Museum Tucson, 200 S 6th Avenue

Cost: Free

What’s going on: Celebrate our great earth at the Children’s Museum Tucson. There will be various activities, events, and educational opportunities for children of all ages to learn more about how to steward the earth well. 

12. Tucson International Mariachi Conference
