1. Revengers

Location: The Gaslight Theatre, 7010 E Broadway Blvd

What’s going on: Get ready for this fun-filled, musical melodrama… set in space! This is a family-friendly event sure to keep you entertained all evening long. 

2. Friday Night Live Concert Series: Split Decision

Location: Geronimo Plaza, 814 E University Blvd.

Cost: Free

What’s going on: Take in some live music this summer. Hang out at Main Gate Square and enjoy music from different musicians and artists playing live every other Friday night until August. 

3. Juneteenth Celebrations

What’s going on: The African American Museum of Southern Arizona is hosting a number of Juneteenth events for the community. Highlights include a kickoff concert, block party, and history of Black Tucson and Juneteenth told by local historians. 

4. Ted DeGrazia’s Birthday

Location: DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun Museum, 6400 N Swan

Cost: Free

What’s going on: Come out for some free cake and ice cream to celebrate DeGrazia’s birthday. You can also stroll through the 10-acre gallery grounds to see the art and architecture of Arizona’s acclaimed artist. 

5. Badges & Backpacks

Location: Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Avenue

Cost: Free

What’s going on: This is for anyone with school-aged children! Come out and receive a free backpack with school supplies, gifted by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. There are 3,000 backpacks available and it’s first-come, first-served. 

6. Chris D’Elia: Don’t Push Me Tour

Date and Time: June 17 at 7:00 p.m.

Location: The Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, 260 S Church Avenue

Cost: Tickets start at $28.50

What’s going on: Need a laugh? This is the perfect date night event or a night to hang out with some friends. Chris D’Elia is an in-demand comedian with three specials on Netflix and a chart-topping comedy podcast. 

7. George Lopez: Alllriiiighhttt!

Date and Time: June 17 at 8:00 p.m.

Location: AVA Amphitheatre, Casino Del Sol, 5655 W Valencia Rd. 

Cost: Tickets start at $36.00

What’s going on: Yep, it’s another comedy show happening in Tucson this month. George Lopez is a comedian, TV and film star, and late-night television host. Come on out for a fun night of laughter and hilarity. 

8. World Margarita Championship

Date and Time: June 17 at 5:30 p.m.

Location: Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, 7000 N Resort Drive

Cost: $75.00

What’s going on: Come out for an unforgettable night of cocktail competitions, tastings, and live music. This is a creative collaboration hosted by the Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance.

9. Movies on the Lawn

Location: Oro Valley Community & Recreation Center, 10555 N La Canada Dr.

Cost: Free

What’s going on: Movies on the Lawn are back for another season. Bring your family, some chairs, blankets, and snacks, and enjoy a movie on the big screen. June’s film is “‘Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile’ Takes a Bite Out of the Box Office.”

10. Round Up at the Ranch 5K

Date and Time: June 18 from 6:00-10:00 a.m.

Location: Steam Pump Ranch, 10901 N. Oracle Road

Cost: $30.00 prior to race day; $40.00 on race day

What’s going on: This 5K course heads towards Catalina State Park and is open to runners, walkers, and strollers. After the race, there will be snacks, water, and a water balloon toss. 

11. SEUSSICAL The Musical at Berger Performing Arts Center

Date and Time: June 23 from 2:00-3:30 p.m.

Location: 1200 W. Speedway Blvd

Cost: Tickets start at $5.00

What’s going on: SEUSSICAL is the story of Horton, an elephant on an adventure. The story is about friendship, loyalty, and community and offers a fun story for the whole family to enjoy. The musical is put on by Theatre For Young Audiences.
