1. TENWEST Impact Festival
Date and Time: November 1-5
Location: Tucson Convention Center, 260 S Church Avenue
Cost: $35.00 for general admission passes; $300 all-inclusive passes; free kick-off event and street festival
What’s going on: Come together for ideas that can change the world! Through immersive exhibitions, talks, and experiences, you’ll be inspired by questions and ideas about economic, social, cultural, and environmental challenges to the community.
2. Great Expectations
Date and Time: Sunday, November 3-20 at 2:00 p.m.
Location: The Rogue Theater, 300 East University Boulevard, Suite 150
Cost: Tickets start at $32.00
What’s going on: See the classic novel adapted for the stage here in Tucson. Great Expectations is a coming-of-age story with iconic characters Pip, Miss Havisham, Estella, Joe, and Magwitch.
3. All Souls Procession Weekend
Date and Time: Multiple events from November 4-6
Location: Various locations
Cost: Donations welcome
What’s going on: The All Souls Procession is an inclusive, public ceremony that honors the lives of lost loved ones. Tucson’s procession is hosted by Many Mouths One Stomach for over 30 years. Join the procession, benefit dance, and parade to deepen ties to your community and loved ones.
4. Tucson Youth and Families Community Clean Up
Date and Time: November 6 from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Location: John F. Kennedy Park, 3700 S. Mission Road
Cost: Free
What’s going on: Partner with Miss Arizona Earth, the Ambassador for Beauties for a Cause Charitable Organization to make Tucson a cleaner, more beautiful place.
5. Full Moon Hike at Lost Dutchman
Date and Time: November 6 or 7 at 6:00 p.m.
Location: Lost Dutchman State Park
Cost: $10.00
What’s going on: This is a hike you won’t soon forget. Join this ranger-guided hike designed to see both the beautiful sunset and the full moon. The hike is 1.5 miles of rocky, rough terrain but has little elevation gain.
6. Tucson Veterans Day Parade
Date and Time: Friday, November 11; the parade starts at 11:00 a.m.
Location: Morgan McDermott American Legion Post 7, 330 W. Franklin St.
Cost: Donations welcome
What’s going on: Observe Veterans Day this year at the annual parade as it makes its way through the city. This year’s theme is “honor” and donations are welcome to support the American Legion.
7. Amado Chili Cook-Off and Classic Car & Motorcycle Show
Date and Time: Saturday, November 12
Location: The Amado Territory, 3001 I-19 Frontage Road
Cost: Donations welcome
What’s going on: Support the Amado Youth Center by coming out to the 12th annual chili cook-off! Not only will there be some good eats, but you can also check out the classic car and motorcycle show.
8. Tucson International Mariachi Conference
Date and Time: Saturday, November 12, 3:00-8:00 p.m.
Location: MSA Annex, 267 South Avenida del Convento
Cost: $60.00
What’s going on: If you love good food, you’ve got to get here. The “Best 23 Miles of Mexican Food” hosts the top Mexican restaurants and food trucks in Tucson. Eat your way through all the classics while enjoying some mariachi music and dance performances.
9. Dusk Music Festival
Date and Time: Friday to Saturday, November 11-12
Location: Jácome Plaza, 101 N. Stone Avenue
Cost: One-night general admission starts at $65; 2-day general admission is $109
What’s going on: Rock out to headliners Young The Giant, Griz, Alison Wonderland, and many more. In addition to epic music, this festival will have a memorable line-up of local artists and culinary experts as well.
10. Magical Cirque Christmas
Date and Time: November 22-23
Location: Centennial Hall, 1020 E. University Blvd.
Cost: Tickets start at $40.00
What’s going on: Get into the holiday season with this spectacular performance. It includes breathtaking cirque artists along with all the holiday music classics performed live.
11. Thanksgiving Cross Country Classic
Date and Time: Thursday, November 24
Location: Reid Park, Ramada 10, Country Club and 22nd St.
Cost: $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for kids 7-13, and free for kids under 6
What’s going on: Enjoy your Thanksgiving outside on a beautiful 5K run. It’s a European-style cross-country course with hay bales, dirt, and some asphalt sections. First-place winners in each group receive a turkey and runners-up get a pie.
12. LightUp! A Festival of Illumination
Date and Time: November 25 until January 15, 2023
Location: Tucson Botanical Gardens, 2510 North Alvernon Way
Cost: $30.00; discounts available for members and children
What’s going on: Get lost in the beauty of the gardens, decked out with 3,000 lights! There are six themed zones for you to visit, including a 50-foot light tunnel to walk through.
