From a big market on Tucson’s east side to a unique collection of vendors a short drive from the city, there are tons of options for Tucsonans to choose from. 

Here are nine of our favorite farmers’ markets in Tucson for both weekdays and weekends.

Get your groceries and get outside this weekend at one of Tucson’s weekend farmers’ markets. 

Most markets start early—around 9:00 a.m.—so grab a cup of coffee and head down to find the best local produce, homemade treats, or pantry staples like eggs and honey. 

Each market has its own unique atmosphere and character, with historic buildings, live music, or other attractions. 

1. Oro Valley Market

Date and Time: Open Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Location: Steam Pump Ranch, 10901 N Oracle Rd, Oro Valley, AZ

Best buys: This farmers’ market supports local farms, ranches, and small food purveyors. It operates year-round with lots of local fruits and vegetables, beef, pork, and farm fresh eggs. Arrive early at this small market for the best buys.

More than groceries: While you’re at the ranch, see the historic preservation of the buildings, farming artifacts, and heritage gardens on display.

2. The Original Bisbee Farmers Market

Date and Time: Open Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. 

Location: Vista Park, 116 Vista Dr, Bisbee, AZ

Best buys: Find fresh, locally and regionally grown food, including peppers, honey, dates, eggs, pecans, and other nuts. 

More than groceries: Try delicious home-baked or canned goods from the local community while enjoying live music. The market expands at different times of the year with seasonal vendors and also plants for your garden. 

3. Rincon Valley Farmers Market

Date and Time: Open Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (winter hours starting Oct. 5th)

Location: 12500 E Old Spanish Trail, Tucson, AZ

Best buys: This market offers locally grown produce, freshly roasted coffee, honey, baked goods, tortillas, and salsas.

More than groceries: You can’t miss the big green and white barn that marks the spot for this Saturday market. Visit to shop for fresh foods, ready-to-eat foods, plus unique handmade jewelry, clothes, and other artisan goods.

4. St. Phillips Plaza Market

Date and Time: Open Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Oct. to Apr.) 

Location: St. Phillips Plaza, 4280 N. Campbell Rd, Tucson, AZ

Best buys: Browse a collection of Tucson’s local artists, makers, creators, and food businesses.

More than groceries: This is Tucson’s most iconic weekly open-air market, open on Saturdays and Sundays. Check out the market and then visit one of the local restaurants at St. Phillips Plaza for lunch.

5. Rillito Park Market

Date and Time: Open Sundays 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (winter hours starting Oct. 6th)

Location: Rillito Regional Park, 4502 N 1st Ave, Tucson, AZ

Best buys: The largest year-round market in Tucson is a great place to find the best foods from local farmers, ranchers, and artisan food purveyors. A large selection of vendors also includes baked goods and ready-to-eat items.

More than groceries: Educational programs like Heirloom Kids help children learn about where food comes from. Check out quarterly events like chef demonstrations, seasonal food festivals, bicycle-friendly events, and local live music.

4 of the Best Tucson Farmers Markets To Visit on Weekdays

Weekend farmers’ markets are great, but what if you need a few extra things for dinner during the week? 

Tucson has several markets open on weekdays as well, usually in the later part of the week. 

You could stop by the Udall Park Farmers Market on a lunch break on Friday or the Santa Cruz River Farmers Market in the early evening on Thursday. 

Some markets are located in shopping centers, so you can bundle a bunch of trips together at once, all while getting the freshest local foods.

1. Green Valley Village Farmers & Artisans Market

Date and Time: Winter hours are every Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Oct. to Apr. )

Location: 101 S. La Cañada Dr., Green Valley, AZ

Where to go: Located in Green Valley, AZ, right off of the I-19 South Freeway. Take the Esperanza exit, then head west and turn into the Green Valley Village Shopping Center. 

Best buys: The area’s longest-running farmers marketplace comes alive on Wednesday mornings. Enjoy fresh vegetables from local growers, a cup of fresh roasted coffee, delicious flaky pastries, or a tasty lunch! 

More than groceries: Local businesses display the most beautiful and unique handmade artisan goods, jewelry, and crafts of the Southwest.

2. Santa Cruz River Farmers Market

Date and Time: Open Every Thursday from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Location: MSA Annex: 267 S. Avenida del Convento, Tucson, AZ

Best buys: Buy fresh fruits and vegetables grown locally in Southern Arizona without chemical pesticides. Find a good selection of culturally relevant foods not available in grocery stores.

More than groceries: After your shopping, stay for a cooking demonstration or a food sampling or to enjoy the community spaces with your neighbors and local growers.

3. O’odham Farmers Market

Date and Time: Open Fridays, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. during winter and fall and 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. during spring and summer

Location: Tohono Plaza, 1 Indian Rte 19, Sells, AZ

Best buys: Visit a space where local farmers, ranchers, wild food foragers, and artists showcase their goods. 

More than groceries: Up to 40 vendors and artists offer traditional handmade jewelry, clothing, baskets, drawings, and paintings. Kaiji Ki (seed house) is a space where you can find traditional O’odham seeds, informational handouts, or learn about workshops.

4. Udall Park Farmers Market

Date and Time: Open Fridays from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (winter hours starting Oct. 4th)

Location: Morris K. Udall Park, 7202 E Tanque Verde Rd, Tucson, AZ

Best buys: 40 vendors selling local and organic produce, eggs, Arizona grass-fed beef, local honey, fresh locally roasted coffee, baked goods, salsa, and tortillas.

More than groceries: Visit booths offering freshly roasted vegetables, pet products, and soaps at this family-friendly event in one of Tucson’s best parks. This market is accessible, close to the SunTran and Udall Transit systems, and has on-site restrooms.
